Jorinde and Joringel 08

Assignment for "created reality" on the kabk (royal academy of arts, the hague). I started with the mirror photos which you can see in my gallery but then I had to think of some kind of theme and I chose for the theme the fairytale from Grimm: "Jorinde and Joringel" where my name (jorinde) comes from. And then I had enought of the mirrors and started making a different series. This is one of the photos of the series.

This photo is my interpretation of the witch from the fairytale, this is a detail that goes with the other photos of the witch in my galler.

There was once an old castle in the midst of a large and thick forest, and in it an old woman who was a witch dwelt all alone. In the day-time she changed herself into a cat or a screech-owl, but in the evening she took her proper shape again as a human being.
